Antarctica
luxury ship cabins
page 2
All suites and staterooms have the amenities you would expect on a luxury cruise ship, including butler service, flat-panel TVs, WiFi internet access, TV/DVD unit, room safe, telephone, binoculars, bathrobes, slippers and bathroom sundries. Beds can be configured into either queen or twins in over 95% of the cabins.
All passenger cabins are ocean view. Some have floor-to-ceiling balcony doors. Others have view windows.
Some ships bombard your cabin with public address announcements. The Silver Explorer keeps them to a minimum.
Console yourself by realizing that you likely won't be spending much time in your cabin except for sleeping, bathing and dressing. There is too much to do outside it. Many guests think of the comfortable Library, Panorama Lounge, or Observation Deck as their cabin's living room.
Pass the time watching lectures (on close-circuit TV). Or, enjoy scheduled movies and documentaries on your TV. Or, ask your butler to bring you a DVD for your in-cabin player.
It is not permitted in cabins or their private balconies, for several reasons, including fire safety.
