A few more
Caribbean cruise
pointers

First versus
 second dinner seating

The first seating typically starts about 6 or 6:30 pm, the second at 7:30 or 8:00 pm.

If you have children
The first seating normally works out best because kids like to eat early.
If your party is all adults
Unless you're an habitual early eater, opt for the second seating.
You won't have to cut your shore excursions short to shower and make the first seating.
You won't be disturbed by screaming kids running down the aisles.
Your meal won't be rushed to make room for another seating.

Bring plenty of small-
denomination US dollars or Euros

That way, when you are making a small cash purchase in a port of call with a large US or Euro bill, you won't end up with a handful of island money (like the East Caribbean or Barbados dollar) that you might not be able to use again.

Pre- and post-cruise trips

Consider adding a couple of vacation days before or after the cruise to enjoy a Caribbean resort.
