Major recent issue

Repairs and renovations made in the last decade inadvertently caused severe structural damage to the aging building. For instance, when new floors replaced the breathable sandstone ones, moisture became entrapped under the floors. The capillary process eventually seeped the moisture up into walls and ceilings. The museum might have to be closed for a couple years to stop and fix the deterioration.
