Palaces

This wonder accommodates several. Their elaborate interiors boast intricately carved panels, delicate screens, stained glass windows. These design elements vividly illustrate the luxuriant lifestyle of the maharajas. A few period rooms take you back to the splendor of a bygone era.

Museums

Some palace spaces were converted to exhibit costumes, furnishings, howdahs, palanquins, musical instruments, bejeweled swords, and more from various Jodhpur historical periods.

Views

Mehrangarh Fort dramatically sits on a steep outcropping overlooking Jodhpur city. This creates stirring views looking up from the city and looking outward from the ramparts.

One-hit town

Take away the citadel and Jodhpur wouldn't be worth the long trip to get here. The number #2 and #3 attractions (Bhawan Palace and Jaswant Thada) are interesting, but not overwhelmingly so.
