Corfu's climate is enviable - mild winters and cool summers.
The northeastern coast of Corfu is so close to Albania that I saw (with low-powered binoculars) vehicles traveling along the latter country's coastal road. The strait separating Greece from Albania is only about 3 kilometers (2 miles) wide.
Corfu is increasingly being known in the travel world by its Greek name, Kerkyra.
Corfu is readily reached by domestic and international flights and boat trips. For example, you can travel to Corfu from the port of Brindisi, Italy by ferry.
