tips and insights

Pool

It's surrounded by comfortable sun loungers, three hot tubs, a pool bar, and a pool grill. The last has shaded ocean-view dining tables lining both sides of the ship. The busiest time is on warm, sunny sea days between 11 am and 3 pm, though you can usually find an empty lounger anytime. If not, ask the attendant for help. He can often find or set up one for you.

Spa

It is relatively large with specialized areas. It offers a wide variety of treatments and other services including massages, scrubs, botox, acupuncture, and teeth whitening. There are two unisex saunas and steam rooms, as well as heated stone lounges and a thelasso-therapy pool.  The spa has a beauty salon, which also does men's hair grooming. The spa is least busy on port excursion days. Most money-saving spa specials are offered then (but book early as they can go quickly).

Gym

The equipment includes exercise bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, and weights. Because the gym is relatively small, try to avoid the peak periods, which usually fall early-to-mid-mornings on sea days - and from mid-to late-afternoons when passengers return from their shore excursions.

Other fitness center
facilities and services

There is an outdoor walking/running track (ten circuits per mile) as well as a small aerobics room. A fitness trainer gives gratis advice on yoga, Pilates, and general conditioning, and more. You can join classes on topics like wellness nutrition.
